Learn How to Make Money Online

I started the Dough Roller in 2007 knowing absolutely nothing about how to make money online. I didn't know how to build a blog or how blogs could make money. Today, I make more online than I do practicing law.

So this section of the site is dedicated to teaching you how with virtually no financial investment, you can turn a blog into a profitable business. Now before we get to the details, I do want to do a quick reality check.

First, you won't get rich overnight. Blogging as a business takes a lot of hard work. I was up at 5 am seven days a week for the first two years working on this site. I spent my lunch hour blogging, and I spent as much time in the evening and on weekends as I could. The financial returns have been great, but it takes a lot of effort.

Second, unless you're already a blogging guru, there will be a lot to learn. I'm in year five of my online adventure, and I'm still learning new things every single day.

And finally, there are a lot of scam artists in this business that want to sell you a "system" or "blueprint" to make money fast. Don't waste your time or money!

Now on to the good stuff. We've put together a number of articles that will walk you through everything from how money is made online, to how to set up a site, and how to get valuable traffic to your blog. If you are just starting out the first place to start is our Beginner's Guide to Making Money Online. This article describes the who, what, when, where and how of running an online business.

Getting a Site Up and Running
