As a follow up to 25 Ways to Save Money on Gas, I though I’d share some additional online resources to help you find the lowest gas prices. So in addition to Gas Buddy and GasNearU, both of which I mentioned in the saving money on gas article, here are a few more worth checking out:
- Gas Price Watch: GPW does not have the slickest user interface, but it does seem to find the lowest prices on gas, which is what we’re looking for.
- Gas Prices on Mapquest: I’m a fan of mapquest to begin with, which may be why I like this tool. Note that it gets different results that GPW, so they are both worth checking out.
- Get Mobio: This is a perfect tool when you’re searching for the lowest gas prices on the road. Here’s what Mobio promises: “In three clicks or less with no data entry, you can find the cheapest place to gas up – right from your mobile phone.”
Gas Price Widget #1: This widget is for MAC users. It has a great looking user interface and is definitely worth a try for you MAC addicts.-
Gas Price Widget #2: This is a great little widget that can be downloaded to your desktop or uploaded to a webpage. And you can always bookmark this post and come back to use the widget anytime.

These are some great tools! I’ve been a fan of GasBuddy for some time now, but it’s good to know that there are other tools out there as well. Thanks for sharing!

A Dandy tool!
GasDandy is an easy-to-use tool that tracks a vehicle’s mileage and maintenance information, providing data that can be used for both business and personal purposes. By making these figures readily available, the program also gives the consumer the opportunity to save money and to proactively identify problems that can shorten the life of their vehicle(s).
