I have Quicken Deluxe 2011 qand would like to upgrade to Quicken Premier 2011. How do I do that?

My XP computer crashed due to a bad virus, so I bought a new w.7 cpu. Trying to install my quicken 2006 and 2008 update cd has been a disaster. It wont open my backup file and I cant get it to start a new file either.
Help sent me prompt advice. The only problem is they are 0 for 3 in getting it to work. I was thinking of groan getting Quicken 2010 but reading the reviews has scared me off. I have been a Quicken user for 10 years and hate all the new “unlock” requirements, extra charges for additional gimmicks, etc. BOO Quicken.

What a dishonest company. The support is terrible, and now I have to “upgrade” my 2006 Quicken to continue using the software? Several others on here used the word “extortion” and I agree. Shame on you Intuit and Quicken. This little blip in revenue will be far outweighed by the long term damage to your image.

I consider Quicken’s upgrade to be the software equivalent of extortion (obtaining “money, property or resources …. through coercion). all my finances are in Quicken, so I have no choice but to upgrade to 2010 to not only preserve past data in the same format, but to continue with future gathering and analysis. Intuit’s products are good, but I’ve already dropped Turbo Tax (I went to TaxAct and it’s just as good) and wish I could drop Quicken because of the total lack of support, and the ever increasing of prices of their software. Extortion it is!

Berniece, I should think the Deluxe version would work just fine. You could use Quicken’s rental property software, but for just one property, I don’t think it’s necessary. Good luck!

I have turned my vacation home into a full time rental this year. Which Quicken will help me keep track of expenses/income of the rental plus my regular bills, etc?

CabOls, I’m actually getting Quicken for Mac today. I’ve been very frustrated with Quicken’s failure to keep its Mac version up to date with the PC version. I don’t think the new version solves that problem, but I guess it’s a step in the right direction.

Did you by any chance get Quicken for Mac last month? I just read the notice on my Quicken 2007 that I need to buy a new version by 4/30 & have recently migrated almost everything to Mac. Wondering if it’s worth the Mac investment for Quicken or keep it in my VM ware (parallels). Thanks for the feedback.

DO I need to upgrade if I want to continue using the webconnect downloads? Although I like it, I agree with HeatherD that I dont like being coerced in “upgrading”. What are my alternatives? Thanks
