How the Kiva Credit Card can Help You
The Kiva credit card can help improve your finances in many ways.
15 Month 0% Balance Transfers
Perhaps the cards most lucrative benefit is its 15-month balance transfer offer. This allows you to transfer other credit card balances you have at high interest rates to the Kiva credit card and pay no interest for more than a year.
A $10,000 balance on some other credit card charging you 15%, for example, will cost you $1,500 per year. Over the 15-month balance transfer period with the Kiva credit card, you could save a bundle.
And Kiva’s balance transfer offer comes with another benefit many other cards don’t offer. First, after the 15-month period ends, the interest rate goes to a reasonable 7.99%, not a double-digit interest rate many other cards charge.
And Advanta makes it easy to transfer your high interest credit card balances over to your new Kiva credit card. As part of Advanta’s secure online application, you can enter all the information you need about the credit card balances you want to transfer, and Advanta takes care of the rest.

5% Statement Credit
In addition to the 15-month 0% balance transfer offer, the Kiva credit card also offers cash back. The Kiva card offers a 5% statement credit on all eligible purchases, including grants made to Kiva other charitable contributions.
While many cards offer cash back, Kiva’s 5% statement credit is one of the richest in the card industry. And I know of no credit card but Kiva that actually gives you a statement credit on charitable donations made with the card. The 5% statement credit applies to the first $1,200 spent each year, giving you potentially a $60 rebate that is credited to your statement. After that you continue to save with a 1% statement credit on eligible purchases.
