MyFICO, the home of the official FICO credit score, regular offers promotional codes enabling you to get access to your credit score at a discount. They have recently released a 25% discount code on all products. Simply use the code FinancialHelp25 when you check out at MyFICO.com. With this promo code, you'll get the best discount currently available. Using the code, you can get either your TransUnion or Equifax FICO credit score for less than $12.

As you work your way through the checkout process on myfico.com, you'll have a chance to enter the promo code. The result, if you purchased your FICO score from both TransUnion and Equifax (you can chose just one score if you want), looks like this:

The promo code can be used with all of MyFICO's credit score products. Here's a quick list of what is available:

MyFICO Standard: If you just want to purchase your FICO credit score for the lowest possible price, MyFICO Standard is what you're looking for. For $11.96 (after using the promo code), you can purchase your credit score as calculated by TransUnion, Equifax, or both.

FICO® Quarterly Monitoring: This service provides you acess to your FICO credit score and TransUnion credit report four times a year. In addition, MyFICO will monitor more than 400 data sources for indications that your identity has been stolen. Quarterly monitoring also comes with a $25,000 identity theft insurance policy. Before the discount, the cost is $4.95 a month or $49.95 if paid yearly.

Suze Orman's FICO® Kit Platinum: This kit is designed to combine the credit report and score information from MyFICO with the financial advice from Suze Orman. The Suze Orman's FICO® Kit Platinum includes three FICO scores and credit reports and provides financial information on how to get out of debt and save on mortgage and car loans. The kit costs $49.95 before the discount.

Score Watch®: This is MyFICO's flagship product. With Score Watch, you get daily monitoring of your Equifax Credit Report and weekly monitoring of your FICO credit score. MyFICO also notifies you when your credit score changes or when new information is posted to your credit report. With Score Watch, you'll also see the key factors affecting your FICO score. Score Watch costs $8.95 per month before the discount, and a three month minimum purchase applies.

How to Get Your FICO Credit Score for Free

You can of course get your FICO credit score for free from MyFICO, but it requires signing up for a 30-day free trial of Score Watch. It's easy to cancel Score Watch if you don't want to keep the service. If you do keep Score Watch past 30 days, the cost is $89.95 for 1 year (the discount code does not apply). So if you know you want Score Watch, using the discount code above to purchase it will be the least expensive option ($80.55 after discount by my calculation).
