A new travel rewards credit card offer has surfaced and it comes in the form of the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card. Right away, cardholders will earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in the first three months of account opening. Depending on which Marriott location you redeem your points, this bonus has the potential to be worth close to $1,000 in savings. You’ll also get one free night’s stay at a category 1-4 location after account approval.
Taking a look at the total rewards program offered by the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card, bonus points can be earned on three different levels. Those levels are:
- 5 points for every $1 spent at 4,000 Marriott locations
- 2 points for every $1 spent on airline tickets purchased directly with the airline, and at car rental agencies & restaurants
- 1 point for every $1 spent on purchases anywhere else
- Unlimited Point Accumulation
There are different levels of Elite status that can be earned with the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card so the more you spend, the more free and reduced price stays you’ll earn with your travel rewards credit card. Every time you spend $3,000, you’ll earn an additional elite night credit and after 15 credits, you will be provided elite status. (This benchmark must be hit annually to maintain Elite status).
It’s not all peaches and cream however, as there are a couple of downsides with the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card. There is no introductory APR to speak of and owning this card does come at a price. Each year, a $85 fee will apply to your Chase account but NOT during the first year (fee is waived). Depending on how often you travel, $85 could be the difference from making this credit card appealing to you.
If you find yourself staying in hotels on a frequent basis (and even more specifically, Marriott Hotels) the benefits of a travel rewards credit card are immediate. You’ll earn rewards for each travel arrangement you make while saving money on initial bonus offerings and other special promotions offered throughout the year.
The more you travel, the more you’ll save and the convenience of using a credit card for your purchases is a real time-save. The 50,000 bonus points offer on the Marriott Rewards Premier Credit Card is limited to just a few sites so apply now using any link contained within this post.
