Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card Review

No brand of credit card does a better job of advertising than Capital One and its Venture line of products.  I can’t seem to escape a day without seeing Visigoths raid a prop house or Caesars Casino asking everyone what’s in their wallets.  Be that as it may, in my opinion one of the best cards Capital One offers consumers is the Capital One® VentureOne^SM Rewards Credit Card.

Classified as a travel rewards credit card, the Capital One® VentureOne^SM Rewards Credit Card starts off by providing a 0% intro APR on purchase until August 2013.   After the introductory period has expired, the purchase APR (which is always the balance transfer APR) is 11.90%-19.90% (Variable). No balance transfer fee is associated with this offer and the cash advance fee is 3% of each cash advance, with a $10 minimum.

Hitting the meat and potatoes, the Capital One® VentureOne^SM Rewards Credit Card gives 1.25 miles for every dollar spent on purchases.  There is also a one time bonus of 10,000 miles after spending $1,000 during the first three months of card ownership.  The points can be redeemed for anything and everything travel related, including hotel rooms, flights and car rentals. Miles never expire and the airline you choose to fly is always your choice.  Points are good everywhere.

Good or Excellent credit is required to obtain the Capital One® VentureOne^SM Rewards Credit Card and any international purchase will not include a foreign transaction fee.  Also not included is an annual fee, which means that if you pay your balance off in full each month and stay within your credit limit, you’ll come out well ahead of the game.  Not to be forgotten, this card also provides the following benefits:
